These pictures (attached) are of 'Dave Lawes; Former and occasional rhythm guitarist for 'The Rapiers' who are the UK's leading 'Shadows' tribute band, and are currently Backing Jet Harris for his 'Me and my Shadows' shows.

No need to say which guitar he's holding.... : ) My good friend Paul took these photo's at a theatre during rehearsals for a Jet Harris concert (which Paul participated in!)

But this JV Strat is a bit special, as it is one of the very first Fiesta red JV Strats sold in the UK (check out the serial number!).

They (two red Strats and a red Precision) were delivered from a guitar show in early summer 1983, to the Soho Soundhouse (Soho Square, London), where they were given a full band trial in the shop, and the guys were so impressed that they hastily took them away with them (after paying of course)...

This is slightly reminiscent of when the original 'Shadows' picked up the very first Strat ever to hit the UK in 1959....I think? (also Fiesta red, but with gold parts).
