The Domestic Fender JV Jazz Bass

Pictured here is a Sen ash Fender '62 JV Jazz Bass in incredibly good condition. Sen ash appears to have been used less often than alder for domestic Fenders (especially later on) but they do crop up from time to time. The serial number JV101XX indicated by the Serial Numbers ;& Dates page puts this bass around Aug to Oct 1982 which is in line with the 8/6/82 penciled neck date.
The following photos show the superb condition of this bass! Thanks to Masanori Misawa for these great photos.

This Bass is very clean, the 3-tone sunburst finish is impeccable.

The two photos above show the correct decal and styling for a vintage 62 Fender Bass. Have you ever seen such clean tuners on a vintage instrument like this?

To be correct to it's vintage heritage this Bass should have clay dots, as I believe it does. Notice the flat, plain look to the dot markers as compared to later models with pearl dot markers.

Penciled neck date of 6-8-82.

No buckle rash here, this bass was well cared for over the years.

Clean threads, makes me think that this bass was kept as a collectors piece from the beginning.
